Privacy and Security Policy Information Collection
Any and all information collected on this site is solely for statistical analysis and or order processing. Class Act Mall is the sole owner of that information and will not sell, share, or rent this information to others. We collect information from our users in the following instances: Statistics An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are connected to the Internet. We use this information to compile statistics, analyze trends, gather demographic information and other data necessary to effectively administer the site. We also collect information about the users computer type, operating system and web browser. This and other information, we may collect, in no way enables us to personally identify the user. Order Processing We may request information on an order form. Contact information such as name, phone numbers, shipping and e-mail addresses are used to fill the orders and contact the user in case of difficulties in processing the order. Sensitive information such as credit card number and expiration date is used for billing purposes and is submitted using a secure server (see SSL section below.) Questionnaires and Other Forms Both required and requested information entered into forms is collected specifically for the purposes related to the individual form and is never used for any other purpose. SSL Security When sensitive information is submitted using an order form it is protected using Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL), the industry standard encryption technique. When you are asked to submit a page containing your credit card information you will notice a "https://" at the beginning of the URL or web address. In addition note that the "lock" icon on the bottom of your browser will be in the "locked" position. This is known as a "secure page." Cookies Most modern web sites use cookies. A cookie is simply a small text file stored on the user's hard drive using their web browser, containing information about the user's visit to the site. For instance, Class Act Mall makes use of a cookie to record information from shopping to enable the user to return to the shopping cart without re-entering information. No sensitive information such as credit card numbers are kept in our cookies. Furthermore, cookies written by this site will expire. Class Act Mall does not, at any time, access or read the cookies set by other sites. Links Our web site contains links to other sites.
